Recent purchases made with money raised by the PTA:
PTA funds in 2008/9 have been used for:-
- Woodland walk contribution including construction, seating, sculptures, planting, screening & shrubs (£10000)
- Numicon maths resources (£5900)
- PE Equipment (£1000)
- Playground equipment (£1000)
- Musical instruments (£340)
- A contribution towards the Africa school link programme
- Classroom books
- Classroom globes
- Wet play games (£750)
- Gardening Club activities (£500)
- A camcorder and video-editing software for Film Club and general use
- A new large Fridge freezer for Food Tech (ice cream can now be stored!)
- Golden time activities (£100 per class)
- School library development (£1300)
- A megaphone for outdoor events
- Funding for multi-cultural week
- Year 6 leaving presents - autograph books
PTA funds in 2007 have been used for:-
- Golden time activity equipment & wet play games
- A climbing tower play climbing frame
- Playground equipment (hut, traversing wall, ship)
- Book week activity
- Crash mat for gym
- Year 6 leaving presents - autograph books
- Gazebos
PTA funds in 2006 have been used to:-
- Buy golden time activity equipment & wet play games
- Buy & install a class sized pavilion
- Two play tables
- Three lunch box trolleys
- Two playground shelters
- Book week activity
- Year 6 leaving presents - autograph books
- Hall lighting & sound system
- A cricket training session
PTA funds in 2005 have been used to:-
- Buy golden time activity equipment for each classroom
- Buy two benches for outside year 3 classrooms
- Buy two netball hoops
- £5,000 pledged to class sized pavilion
- £3,600 pledged to infant play area equipment
In the past we have also purchased:-
- Subsidise the school trip to see the Cinderella Pantomime in December 2004
- Purchase two more computers, projectors & whiteboards so that all year 5 & 6 classes have these
- New utensils for the home economics room, a digital camera, and an extra cassette player (each class has one).
- Drinking water fountains at various locations inside the school
- Picnic tables for the area outside the main hall
- Projectors & Interactive whiteboards
- Benches for the IT suite
- Wet play games
All these items would not have been available without the funds from the PTA.
